🧐 What are Cohorts?

Cohorts are Clay’s take of cohort-based courses (CBCs). For the uninitiated, CBCs were invented by Seth Godin back in 2008, when he founded altMBA. At that time (and still today) good traditional online courses (Coursera, Udemy, etc.) had completion rates of 5-10%, and abysmal NPS scores.

By focusing on the experience, the community, and the culture of the course experience, altMBA achieved 95%+ completion rates, with extraordinarily high NPS (9.4 in the last few batches).

Great learning ≠ great content (Great content is edutainment, and it serves its own purpose)

Great learning is:

• Hands-on, applied experiences
• Peer to peer support and community
• Custom, relevant, and tailored to the individual

• Curated Community: Private Slack channel to learn from peers
• Personalized Coaching: Personalized Clay coaching from the Clay team via the Cohort Slack
• Hands-on Learning: Daily mini-exercises to help you build with Clay
• Live Sessions: 2 ****live office hours for workshopping your exercises
• Workflow by You: A final day “showcase” of what you’ve built in the Clay community
