Generate custom audiences around the right people (and their email addresses!) — starting with a list of companies.
Start a new base using the Build a segmented audience
template 🌱
Define your query filters to start populating companies
All filters (limit, country, min and max employee count) are optional but help narrow down your initial list of companies.

The next step in building your audience with Clay is to configure the actions in your new table. (This step will be much smoother in the future!)
For the Build a segmented audience
table
Add filters for the Find specific employees at the company
action to customize your audience. In this example, I use the Job Title
filter to find engineers at a given company, but you can pass in filters for location, company name, domain, etc.
Add a destination for the Push to People table
action to add employees from specific organizations to your audience when you hit the Find suggested people
button. You only need to worry about inputs Target Base
and Target Table
for this action — the rest will fill itself!
For the My audience
table
For the Enrich Person
action, simply select the Clay public shared API key and update the action.
(Optional) If you are interested in segmenting your audience further, check out our ******Map Job Title to Persona
action! Identify up to 5 personas that are important to you to bucket the leads by job function. In this example, I add a Sales persona which looks for keywords like sales, AE, SDR, business development, etc. in a lead's job title.
